AVAILABLE FOR BUYING MISSIONS TO WORLD BOUTIQUE and HONG KONG FASHION WEEK 2011
TCFWA, TCF Australia and the Belmont BEC are hosting buying missions to the World Boutique and Hong Kong Fashion Week in January 2011 on behalf of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. The buying mission will provide the opportunity for eligible firms to apply for a complimentary accommodation package to attend the prestige event which will be focused on the 2011 Fall/Winter season.

Grants of up to $50,000 are available for each successful project and up to $2.5 million is available for projects in 2011/12. TCFWA / TCF Australia have TCF business consultants available that can assist you in your submission on a ‘fee for service’ basis.TCF WA / TCF Australia may consider consortium submissions.

New online tool gives small business the edge in IP - Small businesses now have a new tool to help them manage their patents, trade marks and other valuable intellectual property (IP) assets. Intellectual Property Explorer is an online tool that will help small businesses profit from their hard work and ingenuity by identifying and analysing different forms of IP relating to inventions, designs and brands. “Many businesses are surprised at how many IP assets they have and how valuable they are,” Parliamentary Secretary for Innovation and Industry, Richard Marles said. www.intellectualpropertyexplorer.com
SMEs NEED PROOF OF PLANT AND EUIPMENT INSTALLED FOR TAX BREAK - The ATO is trying to remind all small businesses of their requirements to have installed any plant or equipment purchased under the Federal Government investment allowance scheme. Businesses that made investments in new plant and equipment that want to benefit from the original deduction, need to have it installed and ready by 31 December. Businesses need some type of proof, a photograph or some type of documentation, that the equipment is actually ready for use.
